If you still want to be cleaning windows when you are  aged 70+ Daz I actually feel sorry for you.

So do I, I’m not saying it’s not possible, I’m just saying I’d feel sorry for Daz if he was doing that.

I don’t hate the job, I actually enjoy it also.

I hope I’ve worked hard enough and invested wisely enough though to spend my later years doing something I enjoy more, which there are many things. Each to their own though.

I’m only saying the things that you were angling for when you posted this thread though Daz  ;D

Maybe not as old as that Daz but I could scale down to 1 day a week and get far more than I would have ever got scrimping and depriving myself over the years paying into a pension,if you get to that age you’ve done well if you are able to work in any capacity you’ve exceeded yourself if at 75-81 years of age you are able to work 3-4 days a week you really would be considered in the top 1%.

I'm going to be 70 this coming May and still going strong, I do it because I enjoy it and it also tops up my pension giving me a better life style.

This week I bought a new van as the old one was getting on a bit having done almost 100000  miles.

I reckon I still have a good few years left in me to carry on doing what I enjoy after all age is only a number

I like the reduce it down as you get older bit. My vague plan is to keep my turnover where it is by continuing to only take on good work and prune the less good work. At the moment I do 3 to 4 days with about 6 hours on the glass per week.

State pension kicks in in just under two years and one half years time so I might drop a grand a month at that point which at my £250 a day will put me on 2 to 3 shorter days a week.

A couple of years after that I shall possibly start using a smallish private pension pot and drop to an average of two short days a week to keep active.

I wouldn't mind keeping a few cream jobs at say 70 to keep me active.

Health is the lottery. Fingers crossed!
It's a game of three halves!
