shurflo pump
« on: January 04, 2023, 08:28:25 pm »
Happy new year guys....
My shurflo pump stopped working today (middle of the day!!) its attached to a pump conroller and for some reason when i press the on button it shows 99 for a split second then goes off again! Anyone had this, is there a reset button/screw or is it knackered?
Its about 7 years old now, so done well with it... just wondered if it could be a blocked filter or similar...having a look in the morning, any ideas (other than buy a new one!) much appreciated.
Thanks in advance guys

Most of the time it's a loose connection.

Thanks for the reply, will have a look in the morning. If not i will give Pure Freedom a call, thats where i got it from, so they might have an idea. Its around £250 to replace the pump & controller etc, rather avoid that if i can.
Cheers

Double check your battery voltage and all battery connections are good and corrosion free.
You could just wire pump directly to battery (Via a Fuse) that would show if the pump is working correctly, it would be full flow and no dead end detection but might help to work out what could be at fault.

Could be a dodgy connection on the battery?
We look at them, they look through them.

Connect the pump direct to the battery to see if its running correctly - that will indicate whether its the pump of the controller

if I remember correctly - it may be a fault in the controller - Ian would be the best man to help you here
