No we don’t put prices on leaflets

Returns can me hit or miss - sometimes great response another not much - what I will say is quite often you get a
Calls six months or a year or even longer from a leaflet drop

I have a return of about 5% on my leaflets, and yes I do put the price on the leaflet, which i pencil in whilst I am there
However, these are leaflets I hand deliver myself , and I only target certain types of properties ... ie  easy access , tidy gardens etc.

I wouldnt put prices on for a mass drop done by a leaflet company

How many have you put out to determine the 5% return?

hard to say really. and the 5% is a rough estimation.
I tend to speradicaly  put 10 /20/30 out during my working day when I have time.
maybe , rather than estimate a percentage , I should have said I get a good return by puting prices on and targeting specific properties .

Years ago, I tried all sorts, prices printed on the leaflets, prices hand written as I deliver them, special offers blah blah blah.
To be honest, it didn't really make any difference either way.
Now, I just stick to a well designed, simple, clear message, a picture of me and the van, a short well written description of what I offer, nice and simple. My return is usually 4 per 1,000 (that's actual customers not enquiries).
For next year I shall only be targeting bungalows or 'easy small houses', as I'm 58 now. so I'll see how my leaflet performs there.
"Thank you for calling: if you have a 1st floor flat, mid terraced house, lots of dogs, no parking, no side access, or no sense of humour, please press hold!
For all other enquiries, please press1"

Ive done a few leaflet drops at high volume over the last few years and found:

If you don't have prices = more calls but less conversion
If you do have prices = less call but more conversion as they are ready to buy

I personally like to spend less time on admin/selling so the second option suits me. If your a great seller and confident in converting the first option may be better

Yeah but who wants someone that’s ready to buy at 20 odd quid for a large detached house, having said that I think other people will be joining in with that race to the bottom.
