No...you ll need to charge your batteries every night all year round if you use hot water every day....

Unless you travel a ridiculous amount of miles to your work and back then the split charge relay won't be enough to replenish the batteries....

I have to say this no longer applies to me now ive replaced my original van battery....my b to b charger puts all the charge back into my leisure batteries just driving to and from jobs and that's with my heater running for 6 hours a day,pump and electric reel.

It is though mate.....4 days on the trot I've plugged my charger in at the end of the day and it goes straight to float charge so it must be....

My heater is only running continuously for 6 hours per day not 8 like yours...

I leave my engine running at lunchtime for 30 mins

I drive around 10-15 miles per day.sometimes 20.

It's working absolutely fine Spruce.ive noticed some days it goes straight to float,others it's charging up for 20 mins.🙂

Battery quality seems to have a lot to do with it.
My Toyota Hiace (twin batteries) original batteries were superb. I think I got at least twelve years out of them.
Just realised my van is seventeen years old now!

Everyone I've ever known who have had a Toyota Hiace have had them for many many years with very little problems...they may not look pretty but they are bomb proof!

Mine will be 17 years old in May.  Working from memory, I think I've replaced batteries (once), handbrake cable, timing belt (on the day I bought it) and tyres. 99,996 miles when I bought it 146,000 miles now.

Regular servicing helps, of course.
