My heater is only running continuously for 6 hours per day not 8 like yours...I leave my engine running at lunchtime for 30 minsI drive around 10-15 miles per day.sometimes 20.

Battery quality seems to have a lot to do with it.My Toyota Hiace (twin batteries) original batteries were superb. I think I got at least twelve years out of them. Just realised my van is seventeen years old now!Amazing vehicle.
