I pay a full month regardless of weather time off due to sickness etc he’s been off for over 2 weeks he will get paid,I haven’t bothered this week due to bad weather and probably will only work Thursday and Friday.
What you need to really think about Cranky Frank is getting a well heeled Mrs because at the end of the day bills need to be paid,I’ve told her don’t get ugly or I’ll be off.
If you haven’t got capital and you employ and you do it correctly it’s going to cost you it has and it is us,van insurance and employer’s liability is an extra 1000 notes on top of what I was paying and that’s just 1 little bill Franky Panky.
Like I said get a rich Mrs but make sure she looks good or it’s pointless some things I won’t do for money 🤣🤣.
MWH you make yours out to be a complete tool you even make gold sound sensible

We must have been lucky last few years because  I  can't remember the last time I worked in conditions as cold as this week. Wasnt till 11am when water stopped freezing on the glass today I think I must have managed to clean 3 houses before that time starting at half 8 was totally pointless.

I cant remember losing any time last winter, and a cold spell like this pre xmas is unheard of round here, odd frost yes but not this.

How did you defrost the hose reel etc? My whole system has been a block of ice. Absolutely chockablock.

Did you take it all inside oher night?

Oil filled radiator over night. In these temperatures your gear will probably freeze until it gets to -1 and above. I've been asking customers if I can have a bucket of hot water. Dunk the brush head in it, connectors, hose, hands.....it helped this morning but it still froze on the glass at some houses. It used to be conservatories that froze on cold days, now it's the whole house. People have got to be cutting back on the heating.

A lot of people say Reach-it brushes are too expensive and some  give the company that supply these brushes a bad name but I haven't had any problems using their reach-it range of brushes.

I cleaned patio doors with radial lite brushes and the bottom of the glass was freezing up before I had a chance to finish in minus 4 today.

Swapped over brushes and used a Reach-it ultra lite brush with a white scouring pad fitted to the inside of the bristle perimeter to a mounting pad by means of a velcro pad to clean a conservatory (with no heating inside the conservatory) and never once had a chance to freeze before I'd finish wfp on the glass as the white scouring pad fitted inside the brush pulled all the water down as I was cleaning. Love these brushes for regular cleans and heavily soiled glass, removes everything so easily. One wash/scrub/rinse pass from top to bottom and the clean is done,  no time for water to freeze before completing a window. Love d using this brush today, proved it's self today and it weighs less than an extreme brush.

Love it. Franky has the open goal of NWH and his drivel yet he can't get his initials right or write in reasonable English.

Harry Kane did better.   ;D

Normally I’ve got no time for you as your stories have more twists and turns than an Agatha Christie novel but a genuine question here this time.

Is there actually still snow on the roads down wherever you live?

I’ve been working in the sticks all week (I’d argue its safer in this weather than estate work) and whilst the over nights temps have hit -8 at points, the clear skies and sunshine have still melted all the snow. (Not to mention the gritters and road traffic)
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?

Woke up to 2” of snow here in Fife this morning. More snow forecast up until midday……….all that after having my immersion on for 8 hours last night😖.  That should make you chuckle Nigel😆

Someone needs to put a pic of the snow on the ground and on vehicles round Nigel’s way.

I'm reckon NWH is speaking hypothetically but I'm not sure why.
If we did have some proper snow he wouldn't be able to work with his hot water system. But did he?
We've still got snow on the ground but the main roads are clear. The side roads are still icy though. Yet a few miles down the road things are better.
Nigel does have a point but I'm not sure why he's making it  ;D.
