I've still got a few 2 monthly jobs to clean that I've not cleaned since before I flew to the Maldives so I'll be working.  :)

I have warned customers about the possibility of the water freezing on paths etc today and last week, the vast majority had a look on their face like they  couldn't care less.

Might be a different storey if they slip over and break a leg  or hip might want insurance details 😂😂😂

Never gonna happen....just sweep any standing water away near doors/paths or just scrim them....simple.

Nobody could prove that it was you as there's frost/ice on the ground anyway...

You worry too much splash!

This is how i measure success .... week off for me . apart from not wanting to look like a desperate tit, I cant be bothered . I work hard all year , so I am having a feet up week until the cold passes.
plenty of weeks in a year to make money. why would i want to struggle this week ?
My tds is very low  so I can fill my tank with piping hot water from my DI filter each morning.
my issue is that I  dont want icy paths after I have cleaned.

all this talk of brushing paths and salting them ???
goodness me . just relax and chill till it passes

⬆️ ✊ it’s all good in the hood boys a diesel heater isn’t going to get you through a foot of snow is it lol,but we all know it cleans better and as soon as the roads are passable work will get done there’s no rush.
As soon as this time of the year comes it’s emersion this oil rad that 😂 almost as predictable as me eh,good job I’ve got Quattro with my other old banger 😉.
Do you ever get mistaken for a hairdresser when you’re driving your TT Quattro?
A barber 💈 you mean the compromise was it must be an RS,don’t worry could have got a better one KS will do pal it’s a TT to look at that’s where it ends especially now it’s been on the rolling road lol.

He was actually agreeing with you😆
As for the desperate tits comment from yourself, do you consider yourself to be a desperate tit when you’re working a bank holiday?

absolutely not.
partner works NHS shifts, so I tailor my work around her shifts . having said that , I dont tend to work bank holidays as I only do 25 hours a week .
never seen much ice on the paths on bank holidays either ;D

How much is it to run an emersion again these days compared to my 2 man diesel  🤣🤣🤣,the thing i like about the emersion idea is that you put it on for so many hours get up in the morning look out and see Father Christmas and realise that was a waste of money last night lol.
As the bloke says that delivered my food last week you doooonnnn rissssssseenn.
I have a 3kw immersion heater, my electric is 32p/kWh, so works out just under £1 per hour, I have it on 7-8 hours per night on average. I think I can live with heating the water up overnight only to find in the morning I’m unable to work, it happens maybe twice a year at most!
What I would find more annoying is paying 5k for a diesel heater and get up in the morning and ‘see Father Christmas as you put it’ then realise I’ve spunked 5k and I’m still unable to work🥶

Yeah but stopping everything freezing is just 1 advantage of a Hot Water system that you see this time of the year, same old argument at Christmas 🎄.

I have seen so many end up with insurance claims over the years whether they are justified or not , you need to cover your back theses days .

I've never heard of one single insurance case of a window cleaner being blamed for a customer slipping on ice...its a myth....

Apart from the heater itself and possibly your hose reels the frost stat on a diesel heater doesn't stop anything else in the back of the van from freezing, poles etc.

It does because it radiates the heat around the back of the van i would guess.

Nigel you bring much derision on yourself with your self-aggrandizing, contradictory and boastful posting.

That being said would posters please refrain from abuse like 'tosser' and 'desperate tits'.

'clueless moron' seems borderline ...  ;D

No it doesn't. Only keeps the heat exchanger from becoming damaged if you modify it you can circulate hot water through your hose reels (wouldn't want to do this personally) very high chance you'll find all other kit has frozen during the night poles etc

It's a myth because you have never heard about any incidents?

Is due diligence saying it is never going to happen or that if it does, no one can prove it was your water that caused the ice?

This is an area where an immersion works well if you leave enough of the tank exposed (I have a 2ft X 2ft square in my insulation that is open to the back of the van.)

I think it's just another risk you take.  You might cause an accident with making ice puddles, you might crash your van, you might get dvt sat watching loose women who knows lol.

Not worth worrying about really is it, chances are you won't cause an accident and if you do good chance you will get away with it. You might not but such is life.
