Worst place in uk to be a window cleaner.
« on: November 24, 2022, 07:10:54 am »
Come on then, where’s the worst place?

I’m going with the Cardiff, rains so much they don’t know what the sun is.

Must be miserable working in rain almost daily  8)

It is a city though, so good opportunities for window cleaning can obviously be had.

Still, I hate working in the rain, so I’m going with Cardiff.

I do a quarterly apartment block clean in Blackpool, and the first of the year is in January. Love Blackpool but my word it’s grim in the middle of winter.

South west, battered by storms constantly. Use to working in strong winds living here and use to many a rainy day. East is best West is worse for weather, always has been because of the Atlantic ocean being closer.

I would imagine window cleaning anywhere on the coast with sea salt on the glass.every clean must be like a first clean!

I actually love the areas where I work which is mainly  leafy suburbs/semi rural areas
price higher/work harder!

Well the UK has an unlimited amount of poo holes and deprived areas to choose from take your pick.

Some of my guesses would be Blackpool, Burnley, Middlesbrough.

Picked up my transit custom from Grimsby, must admit I was glad to be on the road home as soon as the payment went through.

Like me if you don't like working in the rain.

Cardiff first
Glasgow second
Hudds third.
But if rain doesn't bother you I'd say London.
Congestion zone, ULEZ,  LTN, Parking, Cycle lanes.

West Yorkshire, love living here .not including Huddersfield in that tho .  But it’s got to be the window cleaning capital of the uk . Every other van you pass has a hose coming out the back .

Grimsby was founded by the Danes.

‘Grim’ in Danish is ugly, ‘By’ is place. Says it all.
