Stop/Start Water Flow Control(Manual)
« on: July 23, 2006, 07:54:31 am »
Can anyone recommend some kind of tool, implement,or gadjet to attach to
The water supply pipe to stop the water flow when going from window to
Window etc.The easiest way I know is to just `nip` together the pipe between
Thumb and first finger, but I`ve a little authritis in my finger and it `s getting
Really `fiddley` these days. Thanks for help and replies.

Hi Lewis,

http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/shop.html

look up hose connectors and Pole Flow control valves

This will answer your question.

Hi Lewis,  I think that what would be a great is a 3 point contact roller/ cam thumbwheel/pivot  device, thats fitted round  the pipe and so freely slides along to any position. You could then attatch it in any position on the pole feed the supply pipe thro and simply apply the roller lever to squeeze the pipe with your thumb.
Someone else tried to explain it years ago, I think it has an application in model airoplanes ?
