backpack
« on: November 03, 2022, 06:19:25 pm »
Hi Guys,
Im looking at adding a backpack to the van. Just so i can use it for those awkward areas or for spraying a chemical on fascia boards and conservatories etc.
Ive looked at two:
Gardiner backpack v3 and Bigboy backpack v2 (window cleaning warehouse)
Anyone used either of these and found them either useful or reliable (or both).
Thanks in advance
Steve

Go on eBay you get the same thing for £60

I have 6 or 7 for the things you described

Thanks guys, but how else do you pump chemicals onto a conservatory roof or fascia boards? ::)roll You have the pump boxes, which are ridiculously over priced - "Dosatron" via Streamline, around £1000.00 (with the vat)! Unless im using it, full on most days of the week, its not worth it (imho)
Backpack just seems a simple solution, for residential work at least.

Not seen the ones you use before so  cannot comment , but paying  £120 for a back pack  and using it for  softwashing  with a minimum price of £400 it’s paid for in less than one job  and they always last at least 3 years providing you flush them out at the end of the day , I think that’s very good value for  money cheap as chips , using Virosol or similar they go on for  ever , we now have pure freedom nano trollys  now they are expensive at £650 😂😂😂😂😂

I’ve got three different kinds. About (15 in total!)The main difference is capacity, gardeners perhaps 3 litres larger, and battery size, gardeners again a little more amphour. Also they aren’t quite as flimsy. They all do the same job though.

Cheers Darran...

Have you used this model? If so how's the carry handle, as looks a bit flimsy in pic.

I also have this one, and some others.    mine are used every day.     I also have 2 which I bought on amazon . the battery just slides out to recharge or change , but they dont hve them in stock at the moment.

back packs are a must have , they are so versatile

Ive had maybe 6 backpacks in my time and they all drop to bits and stop working within a few months.  Open them up and all the same cheap chinese crap with 0.5mm wiring and poor soldering.

I bought one of them green ones a few months ago and it didnt last long, i could fix it like ive done with most of the others but im past fannying about anymore, waiting till black friday to see if theres any deals and going to buy a proper trolley with a shurflo pump and controller.

They are cheap quality I accept that but when we used them we had 6 in total they always lasted at least 3 years and were used a lot , once they started playing up we would replace them , they were very good value for money as far as ime concerned
