« on: November 01, 2022, 05:56:46 pm »
Got the PF booster pump with the V16 MBCP controller.........connected it up to controller to run for the moment without the auto fill and shut off......it's running but made no difference to the pressure or flow.....what am I doing wrong?

What do you mean have you adjusted the red valve on the pump.

Red valve on pump is open and pump is running and showing fill on controller......but flow hasn't altered from when it was off and pressure gauge hasn't moved.

Thanks for that NWH thought it was a valve for just shutting water off all sorted.......what pressure do you recommend, I've set it for 100 psi but it will go higher?

Any chance at some point this week you could post a couple of pictures of how  float switch fits in tank although don't think I'll be able to use it it needs wiring in from the tank in the van to the controller in the garage......not really practical.

So it's ok to use it at 140?.....I throttled it back to 100.

Going to be a real pain wiring it right from the van tank to the controller.

Thanks for all that NWH....do you use your pump at maximum.....I throttled it back to 100....it shot up to about 140 on full bore.

That setting it’s on or 7 o’clock is what it comes pre set they told me when I called them, like you I adjusted it and got little pressure they should stick a label on it that says it doesn’t need adjustment although in some environment it probably does.

If you need to wire the float switch from the controller it’s simple, the 2 yellow wires out of the V16 are for the float switch.

Cheers for that Nigel....the pump didn't come pre set the valve was in the "open position" and no pressure.........when I started turning it to the "closed position" the pressure climbed up as I turned and it reached about 140psi so I throttled it back down to 100psi.

So the valve you’re talking about is the waste valve.
You’re basically adjusting the pure/waste ratio, there will be a sweet spot some where (probably around 50/50 or 60/40) where you’ll get the lowest TDS you’re going to get, an inline TDS meter would make it easier to find.

Dont fully close the valve though, you’ll destroy your membrane.
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?
