Booster pump

Best place to get a booster pump....new RO system is too slow only showing 40 psi on gauge fitted to it.
Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.

Yeah but it’s quality so therefore worth the spend.

They are all the same just rebadged if you go on YouTube you’ll see them being
Made at Spring, personally I’ve had enough of buying rubbish just to save a few quid it’s just not worth it in the long run get everything you need to make you’re life easier.
I’m surprised anyone still sells manual hose reels for example some supplier must have to dust them off before they send the odd one out these days.

If you can wait a couple of days we're just about to try a DAB pump that's £230 or so. I'm installing Saturday (if it's arrived). Happy to let you know how I get on.

The rotary  vane pumps are better , the 80/90 lpm pumps like the clarke cbm do work but they are not ideally suited . I have a grippatank one and it been running about 5/6 years now and still going strong , 120 psi ( 40/21 ro).

Been using this DAB Jet years, its been solid with no issues. (They recommended this one to me when I explained what it was being used for)
Runs the RO at about 80psi when I’ve set the pure/waste ratio where I want it.
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?

Doesn't auto shut off though.

Genuine question: why is that a problem?

We've always bought ones that do but I realised we all run the same way.

Tap on
Pump on
Fill
Pump off
Tap off

Hence why we're trying one without an auto cutoff.

We run into an IBC. Is there a different setup where the autoshutoff matters?

You have to manually switch the tap and the pump off when your IBC (s) are full.

With auto switch off, I can leave my r/o (no booster) to automatically switch off when the IBC tank is full and I'm not monitoring it.

Personally, I fill up my van in the morning. When filling, my r/o will usually kicks on and replenishes the water I have drawn, while I'm out working; (usually as I have to remove around 250 litres before the r/o switches on). The IBC tank is full when I get back in the evenings and the r/o isn't on. If I had a booster, I would need the booster to automatically switch off at the same time my r/o did.

Ah, got it. Thanks.

In the evening as we switch on the transfer pump to fill the van, we open the tap, switch on the pump and set a timer.

All you need is a float switch and a relay. When the pure level rises the float switch can then cut power to the pump via the relay. You can add a water shut off valve to the relay too to cut off water to the RO.
The components would be less than £20 - I can't quite believe how much some of the companies charge for an 'auto shut off'.

That said unless you are competent with electrics probably best to buy a system as water and 240v is a good combo.
