I’m up north and my average is a lot higher than that. I’m surprised with you (stoots) being a wiz on the lead generation, you’ve not played around with the figures for the 8 weekly’s to see how high you can actually go price wise

Aren't you in the leafy suburbs of Cheshire? Or is that someone else...

There's a difference between an ex mining town like mine than  say even further north the like north leeds, harrogate and York. I had a round in York so know the prices are much better there but that's an much more affluent area.

But you are right it would be interesting to see what would happen if I quoted say 15 quid plus rather than my usual 12. I think what holds me back is currently I convert about half at my prices and I always feel like if someone asks for a quote in an area I work In and  I price myself out of it by going much higher I'll kick myself as compact is king for me.

A bit further over towards Blackpool . See the thing what happened with me is , I got to 250 customers and thought iv had enough so anyone else can have a higher price. At that point my 3 bed semis were at about £12 which I thought  was the ceiling price , I tried £13 and still gaining customers , tried £14 and still gaining customers. At that point I couldn’t be arsed with monthly anymore and thought let me try £15 monthly , £20 2 monthly & £25 3 monthly. Guess what … still gaining customers on all 3 frequencies. Although the 2 monthly jobs have overtook the monthly’s. 91 new customers so far this year without advertising and lost about 40 due to the reasons you lose them.
Front only are £10 monthly

See I've been doing this 8 years Nearly now and I've never picked up work without advertising, maybe 10  year. It's just so saturated round here with cleaners  my average price is actually very good for my area, apart from the odd exception I'm nearly always higher priced than the other cleaners I've come across.
It's grim up North, pulled off the main road and after the first left turn into the estate got chatting to another windie.
I said "You're the third I've seen already, there is now at least 4 window cleaners in this estate already"

See I think that’s the problem, I stay away from estates as much as I can. There’s plenty of work outside these new build estates. On one lane I go to , about 3 mins drive to each house (I do 4). One is £17 , £20 , £30 & £75. Iv just picked up another one 5 mins drive from the £75 which is £35. I know the estates are where the compact work is but I prefer stand alone houses.

Interesting I prefer the average 3 bed semi where I can reach all windows with an 18ft pole. 3 bed council semis and new builds are easy peasy 5 minute jobs.

I don't like bigger stand alone houses I find it more draining. I have a couple of days like this in the best part of town and it's my least favourite.

Maybe it is an area thing. a few years ago I did a few face book adds , and a couple of village /town groups free adds.
I found it to be an absolute ball ache....    people messaging silly times with silly questions , and back and forth messaging of an evening.
80% turned out to be messers . fortunately I always charge extra for first clean so I wasn't out of pocket.
I do have a face book business page , and have had a few nice jobs from it.
I also have picked up  a few jobs on face book from recomendations which is always nice .

I have a job tomorrrow cleaning a supermarket  building . its those   "sidings " surfaces . ( I think thats what its called ?)
I will put pics of this on my face book page .
For bigger "one off" jobs its always worth a punt.

Thats true it can take all evening to reply back and forth with messages, in fact im still answering queries right now from posts i made at the weekend. what that happens is when someone else comments it boosts the post back up the group page so it can be ongoign for days :D but if messaging is the price you have to pay for leads which would have cost you hundreds of £ via leaflets you cant complain.

Yes its Daz - 12 years ago he was a trad cleaner with tatty van and low prices - and also convinced you couldn't get more ££ per clean

Good old boy - looked on here and asked how it could be done - now has a great round - van with heated seats - hot water set-up - works 3 days a week (9 to2) - has record weeks at least seven times a month  ;D

Look and learn Stoots !  ;D ;D ;D
Never argue with an idiot, they will only bring you down to their level, and beat you with experience
