It’s an Ionic’s pro 5 system 1000 ltr but I have altered the filtration it has the Ionic’s carbon filter , 5 micron , water softener, twin 40 inch filmtech  ros , 20 ltr resin vessel, and Grippatank 800 ltr booster pump . And 9 kw Grippatank hydro heat two man boiler set up .

Pre filters are not a waste of money m8 heavy rain creates a lot of silt in the water in some cases a pre filter in a wet winter can last a few days,I’d rather kill  2 pre filters prior to my RO and change them for pennies rather than stick all that silt filled water through my RO.
It’s not my advise I get all my water production advise from June at Gaps water.

If I'm replacing a pre filter in a few days then it sure sounds like a waste of money...

Guess it depends.

I use 2 spectrum 150 gpd filters that's about £60.

No booster pump or pre filters and I think they lasted 2 years last time before changing them. But let's say they last a year its still very cheap and I can't see any reason to upgrade as this just works.

Is that not 250 LPH as you have 2 RO's going ?

No I can fill the tank from empty in around 2 hours  1000 ltr when dumping more in high tds areas it does take a bit longer but at home we only have a tds of 93  so do t need to dump to much water

If my TDS was as low as some on here I’d get myself an Ionic’s 0 system.

That’s amazing when a running tap generally produces 6 litres a minute.

Do you plug into a fire hydrant?

Someone said above the Pure Freedom won’t do 450ltrs an hour,it would be very close to that the system I have fills 1x1000 liter tank in a little over a couple of hours or so.

How? It doesn’t even come out of a tap that fast?
Plus the rejected supply on top.

The system I have has a booster pump and the pressure is always between 120-140 psi quiet often it’s the upper end of that.

After the supply. So allowing for rejected water you are sucking 3000 litres from an ordinary tap in an hour?

"A running tap  gives 6 litres a minute"....thought minimum output for domestic water was 21 lpm.....my outside tap certainly does about that.
Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.

We don’t dump that much water roughly 80 pure 20 waist , I timed it today as just replaced the carbon and 5 micron filter and resin , produces 1 ltr of pure in 7-8 seconds ,so about 450 ltr per hour , and yes it’s off a normal outside tap , I do think the booster pump might be sucking the water out of the tap to an extent and no I don’t have a break tank 😂😂😂😂
