TDS round here as been 70/90 for last few years so I'm double di.....this Summer it crept up to 115/125 at times so was still ok with it hoping it would drop down again........last fill last week was reading 1 so that usually means I'll get another week out of it before it hits 5......filled up for tomorrow and it's reading 6.....out of tap today is reading 157, what's happened?
Any small scale RO systems out there that don't take an age to fill?

No. Its one or the other I'm afraid. Even a 4040 without booster pump will produce around 2 LPM of pure water.

Depends where you are. I get around 300l/hr off the mains. It varies depending on temperature and fluctuates a fair bit.

Yeah I’ve got that one silly quick even if I lived in a soft water area i would still RO it after you’ve got setup it’s pennies a year to run, even 60-70 ppm why not still RO it makes no sense.

That has to have a pump with it - even boosted Ro4040 systems @ 90 PSI seem to hit 200 LPH - I don't know of any domestic properties with that high a pressure

I don’t know Darren I’ll have to measure it almost everytime it’s going it’s at that PSI as  I said takes next to no time to fill a single 1000ltr tank.
I’ve changed the pre filters once and mine only has a smallish resin can after RO still reading 000 in the tank,I have a bigger resin can in the van which I’ll do a away with once I can find a John Guest that goes from pipe to pipe so I can do without it.

Waste and production are very similar the way it’s pre set on the valve but it makes water damn quick, quicker than most would need even with a few vans.

I use a 300gpd system, i say system its literally 2 x 150 gpd specturm filters ran in series about as cheap as you can get. I dont use a booster pump or pre filters i think they are a waste of money.

Its of course not fast but i just have a 1000l ibc tank and fill that overnight, its actually easier than standing around waiting for a d.i to fill for an hour. 5 mins to fill tank when get home with a submersible pump.

Pre filters are not a waste of money m8 heavy rain creates a lot of silt in the water in some cases a pre filter in a wet winter can last a few days,I’d rather kill  2 pre filters prior to my RO and change them for pennies rather than stick all that silt filled water through my RO.
It’s not my advise I get all my water production advise from June at Gaps water.

I used to think I’ve got time I don’t need a booster pump I don’t care if it takes 10 hours to fill my tank at 30psi,honestly just over 2 hours turns itself off more than you can use I need more water these days so a boosted system is a no brainier.
