« on: September 14, 2022, 07:32:57 pm »
Customer wants a quote for 6 and 12 weekly.

I’m thinking £295 inc VAT for six weekly, £355 for 12 weekly

Pls can you give me your prices inc vat…

I think you can scroll the images left and right if you are viewing on a phone?

Daz and co will be along shortly calling you greedy and quoting £180 as it can be done at a leisurely pace and take around an hour easy...  ;D

I think your prices are very cheap , we would be a fair bit more than that , access in the front looks difficult parking on the road ?. 4 floor balconies set back doubt you will do that from the ground , and we wouldn’t entertain internal access . We would not be that interested in quoting for it to be honest , but we do have a lot of this type of building but not with the issues that this one has , £475 for 6 weekly and £650 12 weekly and yes I’d do already have a lot of this type of work at those prices that we have been doing for about 18 years , I know we don’t have much competition but I could earn more than your prices on domestic using an 18 foot pole , ime not putting you down but just feel that’s a pita job for that sort of money .

We would have two guys on it as I doubt the owners would allow loan working on it our rams would dictate two people on the grounds of H &S

They’ll bite your hand off at £295/£355.

I’d be double that and wouldn’t really be arsed if I got it or not, doesn’t look straightforward.

Agree that this is a 2-man job.

There is a garden all the way round the building, but it has a hedge half way (at the side). You can get a reel line over / thru the hedge.

I'm thinking £400 for the initial work then £350 for six weekly, £430 for twelve weekly. Will state on job spec:

- External work only: Does not include us going inside the building to do any work. Does not include us laddering onto the large balcony at the far end of the building at the back.
- We cannot clean the windows that are at the same level as the large balcony at the far end of the building at the back, however we can get to the windows that are ABOVE the windows that go on to the balcony (ie. 2nd and 3rd storey)
- On the left side of the large balcony at the back (to the left of the bay) is a wooden structure . Also, another wooden structure to the right of the bay. We cannot clean the windows directly above these structures because it will get in the way of the pole
- Does not include behind the balcony on the top storey at the back, however it does include (optional) the apex that we can reach using the waterfed pole. If you take the option above the apartment owners need to be aware that cleaning this apex will drip dirty water onto the windows below.
- Includes the six veluxes at the front we can access but it does not include all the veluxes on the roofline at the front because these are not possible to access.

It looks a right pig of a job. I think I’d be going in at around the £450 mark for what I can make of it for the 6 weekly frequency.

I don't wish to be negative but for £299 or £355, I think that would be my worst nightmare!
I think you've got to up the price on that one, just to make it bearable.
