I had a customer call me up and leave an answer phone message informing me her painter reckoned her window cleaner was causing damage to her window frames which is why she was having to get her frames re-painted.
I knew cleaning her windows hadn’t caused any damage to her frames, but I also think painters like to point the finger at window cleaners in an effort to impress upon the customer they’re informed, albeit wrongly, and that it most definitely wasn’t their poor workmanship which lead to the paint peeling off the windows prematurely and that is why they’re having to redo a two year old paint job.
I considered blocking her, torching the house, texting her with threats of violence and even ignoring her texts. Anyway I didn’t call her back or do any of those things, but popped in to see her face to face a week later when I was passing and show her the brushes I use to clean windows. Soon as she saw the cleaning brushes she acknowledged it couldn’t possibly be my fault.
Job jobbed.
