Aye, a national emergency.
I think it's more than a bit of heat but we'll see.

What do you think people do who live in country’s ware it’s that temperature for weeks or months on end ?? We regularly go to the Maldives  and Egypt ,with temperatures much higher than that , you just keep hydrated, and stay out if the direct sun as much as possible, it’s not rocket science

A red weather warning and national emergency declared.
Be careful out there, if you decide to venture out.

Oh for goodness sake, here we go with the nanny state again.

It’s a couple of hot days, enjoy it.

I cannot stand this modern nanny state nonsense.

[col

All this is, is a way of drilling in the doom and gloom climate change fear. [

Wish governments would just leave people alone.
So you don't think it's going to be very hot and dangerous for some folk and infrastructure?

As it is in Texas, most of Southern Europe, Australia, Africa etc etc etc.

They just crack on.

It’s a couple of days, we don’t need nanny government suggesting it’s an emergency.
Maybe they crack on because they get more than a couple of days of it.
It's ok if you want to overthrow the government but maybe wait til Wednesday and when the state of emergency is over.

Some of the people and infrastructure that could be vulnerable might not go to Egypt or the Maldives regularly though.

The gritters will be out spreading sand to stop the tarmac melting on monday and Tuesday...some schools are closing too! ::)roll... ;D

Most people in very hot countries are busy early morning until just after lunch then they stay out of the sun until after 6pm....I'll be doing the same...🙂

Don't shoot Melinda Messenger.
My kickers are never in a twist and neither are hers.
You are free to ignore the national emergency as I am free to discuss it.
If you don't like it, put me on sunblock......I mean put me on block, son.

I don't need excuses to do that, Daz.
Price higher and drink harder, mate.
And going to the bookies is so like yesterday, man. It's all online these days.
Saying that, a lot of bookies have air conditioning  these days.
Like your van, Air Con One 💨👍.

Tell me he’s left wing, without telling me he’s left wing!

Griff is the ultimate lefty, always ready to cry at the next crises/social justice issue!

Bless him.

He’s probably one that wants to be looked after by the government, someone to hold his hand.

The government should look after us, brother. It's their job to look after us.
And I'm all for holding hands and feeling the love, friend.

Most cultural Scousers, Daz.
But if there's an opportunity, say £300,000 stuffed in a mattress in a council flat in Manchester, we might just help ourselves.

Big government = controlled citizen. Small government = free citizen.

A good government is one that leaves it’s people alone.

It’s gonna be a great few days, enjoy it.

Tarmac in this country starts to melt at much lower temperatures that foreign countries due to the fact that we don’t generally get it that hot but I think times will change and they will alter the mixture to raise the melting point but obviously that costs more 😂😂😂 as for buildings they shouldn’t be affected as tolerances are built in for temperature like expansion joints etc especially on bridges . Rail lines there was a bit in the news about problems due   to heat  but again there shouldn’t be if constructed correctly countries far hotter than us don’t have issues, always makes me laugh when we get an inch of snow everything comes to a grinding halt , we as a country are a laughing stock in Europe ,Scandinavia, and Canada that carry on with feet of the stuff .
