I've never used a specific brush for velux,i just use my normal window brush.... hot water helps make it easier....

Some of my work last week had loads of little yellow insect spots all over the glass and frames,literally 50 houses all in a row.it happens every year(most of these houses back onto farmers fields)

For really dirty velux I usually pre soak first,clean a few other windows and come back to it,virosol or Ubik can help esp if you use cold water

I think that I will try giving them a good pre soak and then go back to them.
Yes I use cold and an extreme brush these windows are an awkward angle to be able to apply any scrubbing pressure as some of the gardens fall away quite steeply.

Dumped all mine, always a pita. Take longer cleaning 1 velux than the rest of that side of the house.

For Velux windows you really want a brush that will flop a bit like a DuPont material.

With cold water flocked bristles have a larger surface cleaning area but will clog up quicker than mono filament bristles.  Shorter, stiffer bristles will loosen stubborn dirt quicker than long , softer bristles. Time and experience will help you decide which is your best brushes for particular jobs.

A trying like this either backpack with strong tfr or a mild hypo mix leave to soak for 5 mins and clean

id say the majority of my customers have at least one or 2 velux windows,they take seconds to clean on regular maintenance cleans....just charge more for first cleans if their dirty

I clean loads of velux windows they are a piece of pi$$ to clean, i use the same brush i use for windows.

When starting a new customer I manage expectations. 'I do veluxes but they may not always be as perfect as the windows due to the shallow angle of sight.'

They always respond agreeably and say 'It's better than not having them done at all!'

Plastic gooseneck from Gardiners allows you to angle the brush perfectly for better scrubbing.

If you tilt a Gardiner extreme you can drag out the moss from the metal sides on them where those white protector clips go.

Collapse the first section of your pole if it's long enough, that way you'll be getting more downward pressure on the brush and this definitely helps also use a bit of degreaser sprayed on the brush.

Just use what ever brush you use for windows , if there is loads of stubborn dirt give them a bit of virosol and let it soak for a couple of muinits good scrub job dine ,oh and of course charge accordingly

I find most veluxes clean up ok if your doing them on a regular basis, i know this because i do the insides of a lot.

For me it's a soft flocked with fan jets on a high flow. I pre load the brush with no nonsense degreaser via a hand held spray bottle ( cold water ).
