Rollers through floor
« on: May 10, 2022, 04:55:44 pm »
Hi all.

We use and have used rollers through the floor for some time. At the end of the job we put the pole in the racking and close the tailgate on the hose through the door.

I wondered if anyone did similar and what there solution is for stopping the hose unspooling off the reel sometimes and sagging down through the rollers.

I do the same.

A rubber door wedge between the hose and the roller inside the van does the job.

That’s novel. Do you ever loose the door wedge? Or find it’s gone missing?

Never in 4 years.  ;D

It’s too big to just slip down, once it’s wedged in place it’s solid.

I have the hose with a jubilee clip on it to stop it being pulled through the bottom rollers. I have drilled some holes around the circumference of the hose reel.

I use a bungee to keep the tension, to stop it from trailing on the road.

Just reel it in and attach the bungee.
I hope the pictures show what I have described.
