Foot injury
« on: May 06, 2022, 08:04:12 am »
Woke up monday morning with a sore right foot.tried to take the dog for a walk but came home after 10 mins.i think I've strained the tendons on the top of my foot somehow....

It's still the same today(fri morning)so looks like I need to keep off my feet as much as possible as it's not healing.

I've been limping around my work all week and still going the gym but looks like I might need to take a full week off and basically do nothing!(which is hard for me to do!)

Anyone else injured their foot before? constantly having to put weight on it is not helping it at all! ::)roll

Yeah had foot trouble years ago and still time to time it all comes from the calf muscles and hamstrings trust me on this,if it’s under the foot you need to stretch the hamstrings massively if it’s top or to the right hand side when you look down at your right foot it’s the calf and outer calf that needs massaging obviously opposite of it’s the left leg-foot.
There’s a tendon down the side of the calf right in the middle that runs from the calf to the outer side of the foot about 18” long if that gets tight you’ll get upper outer foot pain, massage it and ice it as soon as you press on it if it’s tender you’ve found the issue I had it for about 3 years.

I’ve had pressure pain on the sole of my foot right on the ball of my feet a few times. Similar to ‘policeman’s heal’ but not on the heal!

Makes it almost impossible to bare weight on it.

Hopefully a weeks rest will sort you out.

Last time I had it bad, we were off on holiday to Corfu, which did mean rest from work, but also made the first couple of days of the holiday a limping nuisance.

Try having Plantar fasciitis in both feet at the same time and working through it. I've had it for well over a year now. Hopefully the doctor will give me an injection when I go later.
We look at them, they look through them.

Bungle that’s what policeman’s heal is Plantar honestly it comes from tight hamstrings not the foot itself, when you loosen those foot pain in a lot of cases goes away paid a fortune before I finally found a good  therapist that explained it and at first I thought it was going to be another waste of time, pain in the feet always start from the lower back downwards.

I must be unusual. My feet start just after my ankles.

Ball of the foot sounds like a symptom of Gout.

I’ve broken metatarsals in my feet numerous times. No fun. Get well soon Daz, unfortunately you’re getting to that age where things start falling to pieces.

That was ruled out as it’s not the actual ball joint, it’s the soft tissue, very odd, thankfully only had it a few times. Seems to be the same pain as policeman’s heal, just not in the heal  ;D

If I try and stand on my tip toes and put my weight on my right foot its sore just under my toes and on the top of my foot...

The dog dragged my missus round the block so she could get home to me...she's confused! ;D ;D
