Strap it all you want won’t get it better anytime soon.

It hasn't at all...this morning it was as bad as ever so I've decided to take the week off...

I'm going for a swim in a bit as I can't just sit in all day doing nothing

Hopefully it'll heal by Monday next week.in hindsight I shouldn't of limped around my work last week as the 5 or 6 hours per day on my feet have not helped at all

Cleaned my van and car inside and out then filled up for tomorrow, soaked 8 xtreme brushes in boiling water to reshape the bristles and sorted a few things out in my storage space...feet up now til the gym at 230pm.

I'm trying to get the balance right between actually using my foot but giving it enough time to rest so it heals...not easy!

Hi dazmond, does soaking the Xtreme brushes in boiling water actually reshape them back to normal,
just asking because Ive never tried it before.

Yes it does....I have 2 xtreme brushes in the van and rotate them when they go out of shape until I've got 8 brushes that need reshaping....

That's the paradox of using hot water!they make your bristles go out of shape quicker but the cure is even hotter(boiling)water to get them back how they was! ::)roll ;D

Might be time to book in a foot specialist Daz. Find out what’s the issue and the root cause.

You’re feet are telling you somethings not right above unless you’ve broken bones by directly doing something to your foot my guess is it’s from the lower back down and I don’t reckon that’ll be far off if you are tight in the legs you won’t be walking correctly and it will effect the feet-gait.

I'll give it until Monday and if its no better I'll go and book an appointment with a physiotherapist.....

Just got back from a swim and it feels loads better but I'll be staying off my feet for the rest of the day

My foot is defo not broken....the pain would be a lot worse if it was.i wouldn't be able to put any weight on it at all and it would be swollen(which it isnt).

I'm doing foam rolls on the calf, ball on the foot and a few other exercises....

The swimming has helped loosen everything up and increased blood flow...I'm also doing a bit of yoga stretching too which should help

I can recommend a good physio right in the middle of your working ‘patch’ Daz. He’ll diagnose the problem and get you a list of stretches and strength exercises in no time. I wouldn’t leave it until Monday, get working on the problem right away.

I'd go for a jog.

3 miles should do it.

Would love to know how you already know what stretches/strength exercise you need to do when you don’t even know what the problem is yet  ;D

Good luck anyway Daz, hope you get it sorted quick.

Woke up at 7am done 30 mins of basic yoga, stretching, foam rolling and a bit of band work with slow, controlled breathing...

Now I'm gonna sit on my arse until my 230pm gym session. ;D

My foot feels worse in the morning,no swelling at all just achy all along the top of my foot when i put weight on it.i think its extensor tendonitis.if it was broken or fractured the pain would be a lot worse and I'd have bruising and swelling.

I fell off my ladders twice and landed on my heels in the past and I was fine.i know window cleaners who shattered their heels falling off theirs....now that must be horrendous!

Hey dazmond,  i don't get you,  if your van was having engine problems, you would get it straight into the garage to get it
sorted, the same as your Grippatank water heater, to minimise on work Downtime, as we all like our Vans & systems to work
to their full potential, yet you are limping around with a painful foot, taking time off work, hoping it will fix itself, by delaying
seeing a specialist, you could be making the problem worse.

Heel fractures are nasty. There's not a lot they can do with them and rehabilitation is a long job.
You could have weakened your plates of meat when you fell off the ladder in the past.
Get to the doctors or hospital.
