Pressure washer specs
« on: April 19, 2022, 03:48:57 pm »
Hi all

Looking to get a new pressure washer and replace all our lances and hoses and start again.

I need advise on something that can power a surface cleaner well.

Any help would be appreciated.

Anything that is 3000+ psi and 21 lpm

Then get the correct nozzles to suit the flow and pressure

I had a 15lpm 250bar which powered a fsc ok..
but as Darran said a 21lpm is better ;D

To be honest i found fsc a waste of time even on a 21lpm..they are good on tarmac but block paving and slabs i find a turbo nozzle more efficient.

Wish I’d never got my FSC, I’m running 3000psi and 23lpm, still useless.

But get the twin turbo nozzle out and BOOM it’s amazing.

I barely use the FSC.

That's interesting that you don't use your surface cleaner, the reason I want to upgrade is so we could use one effectively.

Maybe Turbo is the way to go, that's what my guys say. If I went that way, maybe I won't need a 21lpm machine.

I run a 40lt/min machine and the FSC works brilliant, I wouldn’t use one with anything less than a 30lt/min machine unless you are willing to move it at a snails pace and go across again with a turbo Lance to pick out the weeds the FSC left behind.

I read all the time people saying they use a big FSC with 21lt/min pumps and it works great, what they never say is how long it takes to do the job.

I'm starting to think 3000+ psi and 21lpm would be too much without a surface cleaner.

21lpm is the minimum you want.

I had 21lpm and a twin turbo, felt it was too slow.

So got the 23lpm machine, that extra couple of litres makes a difference.

Don’t go for anthing under 21lpm, you’ll regret it.

Forget the FSC. Just get a 21lpm machine and a twin turbo nozzle and you’ll be more than happy.

Strange we use fsc all the time , it’s fast , efficient does  just as good a job as a turbo with far less mess , we just finish off  the edges with a turbo or vario nozzle

I find my 15lpm smashes out jobs when its full throttle with single turbo but its really messy

What machine are you using?

With my 21lpm i found on block paving it never used to get all the moss/weeds out of the gaps, I always had to go over again with the turbo.

My fsc will romeve moss in block paving but you have to go very slow im guessing that extra 50bar over the 21 200bar makes a difference!

Nice bit of kit , looks a barsteward to get in and out of the van for a single operator though.

It’s a bit heavy but I can get it in and out of the van on my own if I have to but we work 2 guys per van so it’s not a problem

Mines similar, though not wheel barrow style, I use ramps to get mine in the van. Mine weighs too much to lift in on my own, but it is an absolute beast.
