Nothing worse than a brush that has jets that are to wide imo,in an ideal world they should have 4 jets even on the smaller brushes.
One thing Xline does offer is a decent rinse with that central rinse bar.

Let me sit down a minute.........sorry its the shock.......... you actually just said something sensible. The xline rinse bar is absolutely brilliant, i wish Gardiners would adopt something similar instead of the impractial top rinse bar they have which is asking for trouble when near vents.

I found the xline rinse bar was useless it hit every raised part of the window frame did the front of one house with it and it’s hung up on my garage wall  and not been used since  , also weighs a ton utter rubbish .

Not sure i understand what you mean by that, its completely recessed within the brush, how did it hit anything?

edit.. i guess you mean the water jet wasn't going straight, a pin in the holes or failing that take it to bits and rinse out as may have a bit of debris in the bar that's got past your filter. If that doesn't cure it talk to xline, they might send you a replacement. When its working properly, it makes rinsing so much more managable and also quicker.

I wasn’t referring to the brush we all know that’s only good for building an extension with they come in stacks of a 1000 don’t they,I was referring to the rinse bar as it covers the full width of the brush useless above the brush I’ve tried that but in the middle of the brush it’s more controllable.

The more water you can get on the glass the quicker you can clean it.

Exactly.

I have a 2 man system both are always on full whack.  But recently one of the pumps has become slower, I think I actually got it second hand so no idea how old it is.

When I've had someone working with me it's highlighted what a difference it makes, I'm normally faster but with the weaker flow pump I just can't keep up.

Also I have 8mm on one reel and 6mm on the other. I also noticed when I put that weaker pump on the 8mm and the better one on the 6mm it makes the flow rate much closer. If I do it the other way the flow rate difference  is shocking.

I've ordered 2 new pumps now but I'm considering ordering 8mm hose rather than 6 as it does improve flow rate. Downside is 8 is much harder to work with.

You would also be surprised how much flow you can lose from something like bad O rings  that need replacing or having a resin vessel in the van it all interferes with flow or can do badly,8 mm hose is noticeable I’ve used it over the years it feels like 1/2” compared to microbore.
Sometimes you don’t realise how much the flow has reduced until you change the pump you can go from flat out on the controller to around 80 and get the same flow as before.

I have been wishing gardiner would fit 4 jets as standard on normal size brushes for years.

Yes I have mentioned it in the past I agree they should all have 4 jets.

Have to say I’d be the same and prefer 4 jets.

Come on Alex…. It’s got to be worth a trial of one brush variant.  ;D I know the tooling costs are expensive etc, but I think it would be a favourite of many.

The only thing i dont like about 8mm is when reeling in it tends to loop up a lot more and tangle easier, actually pulling it around and working with it doesnt bother me.

I use hot water so I never have a problem with tangling hose it doesn’t happen, pulling minibore around over minibore is noticeable and although you may get a better flow this can be had with either bigger jets or more jets.

I tried the xline rinse bar but found the xline pencil jets made a quicker job of rinsing. Using the rinse bar reduces the amount of water sprayed onto the glass compared to pencil jets.

I thought gardiner's 50 degree fan jets were better, but again these provide a lower volume of water to the glass and I found my 3mm pencil jets more effective/quicker at rinsing.

My experience of rinse bar and fan jets is you use less water overall (i.e. when scrubbing) but I spent a bit more time rinsing due to slower flow rate.

I had 4 pencil jets in a 26cm Ultimate brush but the positioning of the holes was terrible, two holes on either side within an inch of each other and nowhere near the ends of the brush. Defeated the whole purpose of having 4 jets.
I now use the 35cm Ultimate with 4 jet capsules which are spread evenly across the brush giving much better coverage when rinsing. I also find using the 1.4mm pencil jets in a 4 jet set up works best for me.

On the wide DuPont with 4 jets I use the blue small jets I think they are the same flat out on the pump gives a very good flow of water, more jets on a brush like the extreme “smaller” version means more bristles out of the brush I believe but if it was possible it would vastly improve it.

I agree , i  bought one used it for about 3 hrs phoned them up and complained and they exchanged it for one with pencil jets..
The jets were spraying all over the place at different angles  and  the bar was catching the frames and cills to much for my liking.

I virtually only use xtreme brushes these days...either the stiff or medium bristle...there really is no point in using anything heavier for maintenance window cleaning IMO...I also use a carbon gooseneck and hi mod pole(currently an xline nano 25 footer)

How you getting on with the nano daz ?

I got the 18ft and as much as i try to like it the clamps just aint as good as gardiner and although its loosened up a little its still not that smooth to extend.... that said ive just snapped my extreme again and the nano is defo more robust.

Absolutely fine....its a much better pole IMO than the xtreme (apart from the clamps)..the xtreme is just too brittle....the balance between weight and rigidity is perfect in the nano...I just wish it had gardiner clamps...it would be the best pole out there if it had.....
Can you use Gardiners accessories? I'd hate to part with the swivel gooseneck.

Yes...I use a Gardiner carbon gooseneck and xtreme brush with mine
Cheers Daz.

These days for me the standard 2 pencil jets on the lightest brushes is all I need for window cleaning.fast, efficient and accurate.....
price higher/work harder!

It wouldn’t make any difference about accuracy you’d still have that, putting 2 more jets more central would give a better coverage of water over the glass using a mono brush would be easier.
With something like an extreme the smaller version this could be achieved with 3 jets by adding one in the center of the brush.

I think you’re forgetting the brush stock is in the centre of the brush😁
