The forecasts are so annoying, 3 apps on my phone, one tells me after the intial snow early this morning it should be cold but dry, another says snow showers. It turns out the latter was right. My windscreen has been left filthy after two of these showers, I won't be in anyone's good books today.

Chucking it down all day here.  ☔️

30 mins more work and I’ll be done for the day. The next two days look the same up here too.

You’ve gotta love Scotland. 😁

How do your customers view cleaning in the rain? I assume they are all domestic

Didn’t stop raining heavily here all day, I wouldn’t have the audacity to turn up at a customers house in today’s conditions.

Yeah all domestic.

I work in all weathers apart from stormy weather. I’ve done it this way for years and customers don’t mind at all. Well….. if they do, they don’t say anything. 😁

Rain doesn’t effect the finish of the clean, and with good waterproofs its totally fine. Also with no customers out in the garden to chat to, I can get finished even sooner.  ;D

It still amazes me that modern day window cleaners think they can’t work in the rain?

I understand “choosing” not to, but it’s certainly a choice. I’d much rather get my work done and take days off in the good weather.

We do get a lot of rain in my area too mind you. Multiple days most weeks.

Long day today with rain on and off... one possible issue is recently rain brings lots of dirt as happened with Sahara sand. Today my van is covered again is some sort of  dust  ::)roll If that continues it may be risky to work in the rain.

I used too. Now I’m not so keen. The worst part for me is the wet van seats. You can remain dry with decent kit but the van remains damp for days after. I’m just part time now so can work around any heavy rain

Looks bad here today rain and strong winds. I must admit I don't really like working in such condition. No problems with getting wet but just feels awkward. Always get the odd one who moans but most don't so I don't know why I let it bother me.

That said I'll still be going out for a day's work, If I have today off I'll just be mooching about the house cursing the weather and I will have to work tomorrow. Its a nicer day tomorrow but I hate working Fridays and don't see the logic in working when it's nice and having miserable days off. Better the other way around then I can actually do something.

Much easier to clean In the rain though than sun. Less chance of spotting can work much quicker.

I’m the same.

It’s not you’re choice imo it’s the customers choice I have jobs that I can’t clean in the rain and I except that they prefer it if it’s not raining,I am not going to argue and put up an argument about the fact they stay clean when cleaning in the rain certain customers are paying good money over the course of the year.
If they are smaller jobs that I wouldn’t care about losing then I could accept that point of view out of 10-20 jobs close to each other and 2-3 moan who cares it’s only a small amount lost over a year if they cancel but not bigger domestic work,it makes no sense I always have work I can do on a wet day if I wanted to work a bird in the hand and all that.
