Because Russia refine 20% of our diesel, up to 40% in reality.

Could be good news for us, gets rid of the casual window cleaners  ;D

As the weather is getting warmer and the demand on heating oil lessons, we should see a reduction in the wholesale price of diesel.

They are charging what they like for oil I wouldn’t want to be on oil for heating next winter.

There is no good news in that - for anyone - casual or serious or just starting or well established.

Local Total outlet reduced the diesel price by 5p last week, but has increased the price 3p a litre overnight.

Apparently some parts of China have gone into a covid lockdown again which should reduce oil prices a bit....

How does it cost you £140 to fill up your tank BTW?(I fill mine up when I get down to a quarter of a tank due to my diesel heater)currently I put in around £45-£50 to fill mine up to the brim....

It's costing me around £40 a week to drive my van and heat my water every day for work....before the price hike it was roughly £30-£35....

The key is to build your round within a few miles of home to keep driving/fuel costs, wear and tear on your van to a minimum....that's my philosophy anyway....👍
price higher/work harder!

80l tank in my custom mate, always brim it right up, then fill up again once on the red. I can get 79litres in it. The newer facelift transit customs have a 70l tank, so they ‘seem’ cheaper to brim.

Lasts me a month sometimes, so not an issue r.e compact work mate  8)

I’m averaging 31.7mpg overall.  Not bad for a big van with a 750l tank.

I think it’s possible diesel will be even more expensive depending on the Russia situation.

Tell me about it , it was £1:95 per ltr at most places and a few were £1:99 per ltr  we still have fuel shortages down hear and a few garages are shut with no fuel at all , some are still setting a £30 maximum limit .

If they don’t do something pretty quick there will be major problems with no fuel at all with holidaymakers coming down
