Say hi

Hi all. Just want to introduce myself as I'm along term lurker but finally bit the bullet and started up.  Knocking doors last wkend and got 12 jobs all cleaned and get the impression will only keep 9. Hopefully will go as good this wkend. Also want to say thanks even with all the banter on here I have learnt a lot from you all.

following on from your other thread .
109 customers since january is really good.
great to see you are looking at things realistically
ie 12 jobs but only expect to keep 9
it is a numbers game . I sort of go on only keeping 70 %  past 3 cleans . the other 30% may be bad payers , clean skippers etc .
they just need weeding out .
this is why it is so important to charge about 50% more on a first cl;ean , this way you will not lose out so much.
its always worth noting that customers can be trained once they realise  that you wont bend to their every wish .

Thanks for your reply guys. Yeah  I'm charging 50% for each first clean. Learnt that here 👍 Im in a village in Suffolk so gonna be hard to consolidate round when built up. How do you sort you days route out. Ie on price of jobs, locations etc.
Business is all new to me I was layed off from pv installation in 20020 and been working as a site labourer since good thing is I clean show homes once a week but bad thing is only pay ever quarter. Does anyone else have any dealing and how to deal with building firm.

its your buisness , so you set your terms on what you want . whilst you are building  its natural to hang on to what you are getting , but as you progress you will start to see that sometimes mrs  jones who pays for half the street and recomends you to half the town is the better customer . ( thats a bit over the top ) but youl get what I mean in time .
just keep plugging away  ;D

I’ve broken some of my Golden rules over the years  , but one I haven’t broken is never to work for builders

...... or roofers - my experience.
