Have you changed your prefilters?
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?

700L's  in 7hrs = 100L's of pure per hr, Not 60L per hr? It sounds like you are putting to much to waste?
Try adjusting your waste/pure valve, and see what happens.
Ive always been on the understanding that the average norm is that making 1 tank pure also makes 2 tanks of waste, so 33% good and 66% waste ish.

What's your setup, is it a 4040  (40") RO that you are using?

For comparison,
I use 2x20" pre filters, into a 40" RO, into a 7L resin vesel, into the tank.
Water pressure is 40psi, into a 1000w mains booster.
My valves sweet spot is 80psi (boosted) and it makes me 200L per hour of pure, (which means 400L is going down the drain)
My TDS in is 420ppm, and comes out of RO at 12ppm when its new, and after say 20 mths it rises to about 28ppm, and thats when i change the RO, as it is using to much resin. (pre filters every 3 mths)
Hope this helps.
M

Hi yes a 4040 yes what I should of said I done a quick test 2 night I measured my waste I litre took 20 seconds and pure Water 1 litre took 60 seconds it’s only been last month that as really slowed up and I’ve altered nothing the cleaning warehouse said my membrane is no good yet it’s coming out of membrane at 4 before my resin thanks andy

Must be something wrong I would get 700 litres on that 40psi in that time  with an HF5 unboosted.

Sounds like the hole in the gate valve has worn bigger so allowing more waste!! You are running at 3:1 waste to pure and that seems a fair bit too much waste. I would say you should be running 60% waste 40% pure.

Pressure too low and temperature also may affect it.

I had the same issue with a Pure Freedom system & they predrill their gates. I changed membrane, prefilters and pump. It was the gate valve. And tbh, I suspected right from the start it was.

If you put a lever valve on it for the waste you can tighten the screw so you know where to stick it back to after you’ve flushed manually.

I just put a mark on the gate valve. It's my 'sweet spot'.

Gate valves give even greater control.

Checked water pressure which is fine so ordered a new gate valve did not realise u can’t alter a gate valve as it comes with a predrilled hole thanks andy

Just buy a gate valve from a plumber’s merchant or online. You don’t need a pre-drilled hole like pure freedom’s. I see the hole as a membrane protection, so you can’t fully shut it.

Hi all put a pressure gauge on my system and pressure is 65 psi is that good enough thanks andy

Do you mean that’s the water pressure from the tap measured at the tap?

Hi I’ve put the gauge just before prefilters so from tap into booster and then into fill thanks andy

I misread your OP as the membrane was two months old. What’s the tds from the membrane and what’s the tds from the tap?

65 is not great, but your pure to waste ratio should be about 60:40 so I still suspect the gate unless the output tds indicates the membrane is gone anyway.

Better to just use a y piece on the waste and set the gate valve and leave it , use a lever valve on the second line from the y piece to flush .
