Really picking up here on the North western side of Bristol. I think even the most well trained customers will be concerned about the welfare of their window cleaners today.
Not a good look doing outside work in this wind. I'd never send a worker out with met office warning advice to stay at home.
Utterly irresponsible even if it isn't as bad as forecast.
I think people always look to reinforce their opinion. We're amber here btw according to the Met Office. Everyone has been told to stop if conditions are unsafe. If they say stop, we stop. I can hear the wind crossing the chimney, but otherwise it's perfectly fine. AT THE MOMENT.
I get your frustration, it was sunny and still here about half an hour ago, perfectly workable but nevertheless, yours and my customer base have all heard the warnings about "Eunice" expected to be the worst storm for 30 years. You cant unhear that, its ingrained now in peoples mind and from a pr stance you wont be doing your business any favours at all. I had to laugh this morning at bbc breakfast reporter stationed near the seafront in Ilfacombe. He described the sea as a "bubbling couldron" and the camera panned over to a pretty calm seafront, ive seen bigger waves at centre parcs , but all the same ,we're all expecteing the worse even if it turns out it has been egged up a bit.
