« on: February 17, 2022, 02:28:57 pm »
So storm Eunice is expected overnight and through tomorrow, winds of upto 100mph forecast, worse in the south of the country.

Which of you hero’s will be out working tomorrow?

I said that for storm Arwen - 5 days without power, mobile phone signal or water at the beginning of December.

Was a bit more concerned about storm Corrie in January but we were only cut off for 4 days.

Good luck.

Not a chance.  In these predicted high winds whenever a red or amber warning hits, you'll look bonkers and desperate to the rest of the world waving your pole round.

If you know your job well enough, you'll also know its pointless as the windows will look worse after you've cleaned them.   The water particles left on the windows will soak up the dust that's being blown around from off the ground in the air.  They will look sand-stormed.  Bonkers.

Dunno. Have to see. Im dubious to be honest, but there's nothing can be done about it is there. Might have a wait over in Heathrow....

Flight is 17:00 so past the worse but that probably means nothing.

I'm sending them out, but will be watching closely. Just checked with Cliff (if you know him) and he's working tomorrow. If he cries off he's gonna let me know.  £3k loss if we don't work.  :'(
