I just popped out to the shop in my car, on returning my neighbours brand new car windscreen has a massive hole in it and several dents on the bonnet due to 2 ridge tiles coming off his roof, I then went into our back garden and just managed to save our gazebo from taking off by tying it down, had I got home 5 mins later I would have lost it

It’s pretty nasty here in the north west now. Sounds like the roof is going to come off the house, plenty of local trees gone down.

Been into town this morning and seen two of the local multi van window cleaners battling with wind/rain/sleet. It would have made a great discussion if I’d have posted a video to one of the local FB groups  ;D I can’t think of any other explanation than they must be very desperate tbh.

Big trees down where I live, quite a few roads closed,  chased my dustbin up the street, lucky my roof tiles stayed on in this storm. Waste of time cleaning windows before the storm today.

Our windows are a mess.
Dirty Spots all over them.
Glad I did not go out cleaning today.
Custys would have not been impressed.
Not had much rain either.

My manager had an email earlier from a house cleaned on Wednesday claiming the windows were left a mess. Photos were dated 4:05 this afternoon. The point is, there’sa good chance those you’vecleaned in the last few days will complain that you shouldn’t have cleaned them because there was a storm coming.

The customer was told to do one and has been deleted.

When I was coming up to Heathrow today the car I was in had filthy windows. The driver reckoned it was from just this mornings rain. I couldn’t help but think the customers this last week won’t be impressed.

Our windows were perfect this morning.  This afternoon they look like the were left in the desert during a storm,.
If we had been working I would be really worried over the weekend.

If I’d had a window cleaner come today I would have done 1 of 2 things, sacked him on the spot for taking the wee wee or if I happened to be out and got a message saying he’d been rufused to pay and still get rid of him.
You turn up on a day like today it speaks volumes about someone.

I had a complaint from a customer yesterday who’s windows were inadvertently left dirty after a pressure washing and soft washing job I finished 2 weeks ago.

I went round straight away cleaned the offending panes and left her a bottle of glass cleaner with some micro-fibre cloths as a gesture of goodwill.

See above. We had a complaint about one we cleaned on Wednesday. If you cleaned yesterday do they have a right to complain after the storm today? We told the one from Wednesday to do one, but we’d return to any complaints from today as I’d say it was reasonable to expect them to dry clean.

sometimes its best to just batten down the hatches , put your feet up ( because you can if you are doing ok )
just enjoy and relish the down time .

They don’t have a right to complain in my book no the thing is about today is the world literally and his wife knew what was coming,Thursday was a lovely day and I knew what was coming today so I just did some inside contract work yesterday because I knew people would think I was taking the pee.
I know you’ve got to work when you can but when it’s all over the news it could looked upon as pointless cleaning them 1-2 days before due to the press coverage,I was wincing Wednesday whilst working.

Just checked my own windows and they are complete mess. Then I’ve just remembered that they haven't been cleaned since October so that’s understandable.  ;D

Most people wouldn’t have a clue a storm would make your windows dirty. You overthink things. Any complaints, we just go back. In the meantime we did 30-40% of our work and maybe have to go back to one or two. Not bothered. It’s a business not a hobby. The only issue was safety and as soon as the wind got up, we stopped.

I doubt most people think about it.
