I read above I’m taking the day off tomorrow 🤣🤣🤣 if you went cleaning windows tomorrow you’d be not only stupid you would also lose as many jobs that you attempt to clean.
Weather next week for the South is lovely with low temperatures perfect working weather.

Rain water is not what makes windows dirt, if anything it helps clean them. TDS reading of our rain water in the UK is usually under 10PPM. Its air, road and tree pollutants that make windows dirty.

So you could educate your customers on this. Ive no idea why customers say don't clean my windows when its raining as it makes no sense.

Dazzler

The trouble is, your water is under your total control, rainwater no matter how low its tds is,isnt. We may get away with seeing no ill effects from the rain the majority of the time but its down to luck. If the rain comes from the wrong direction, it can hit the facias above the windows bringing down crap with it, worse still, it brings down the tiny particles off certain types of roof tiles which leaves black bits on the sills /bottom of the windows, and if it turns into a heavier downpour which all rain has the potential  to do it bounces off the ground and messes up french doors etc. Add into that the "dirty rain" factor where it leaves dust spots after a downpour on your car which we've all seen, yes its in the atmosphere but its the rain that brings it down. The perception of rain = dirty windows is way out of proportion, but it is nevertheless based on an element of truth.
Personally i work in  one of the driest parts of the country and  the need for a "rain guarantee" isnt that great and would frankly go down like a lead balloon. If i worked on the west side of the country  id probably look at doing something along these lines as percentage wise the financial benefits would outweigh the negatives. But managing customers perceptions ,, :), good luck with that.

Clean the windows on you’re house and see what the results are like I’ve found you get 2 goes when rain soaks over them maybe only one if it’s accompanied with wind.
It’s not the rain water it’s what’s in with it ie if it’s windy as well a day like today someone paying you may as well Chuck what there giving you out the window for cleaning em,complete waste of time.

I offer a 48 day rain guarantee.
If it rains or a storm with a crap name makes a mess of their windows I guarantee I'll be there within 48 days to clean the mess off.
Or is it 48 months? I'll have to check my terms and conditions.

Why the crap storm names though? What about Storm Peter or Storm Zy?

Ive always thought that windows are most vulnerable whilst wet, because the dust in the air will stick to the droplets easier?

Don't have that problem of beading if you use rinse bars above stock of brush, hot or cold, always cascade sheeting which dries quicker unless you can prove otherwise.

Lol rubbish a window will make the water bead or sheet how it comes out the factory due to the temperature when made,if it sheets it will sheet if it beads up it will do just that.
I’ve used rinse bars they give an appearance of rinsing better initially when the water  hits the glass and that’s it no different to 4 jets which I find better,if you want less water left on the glass for a smaller amount of time get hot water.

It’s the finish on the glass that determines whether water will sheet or bead on the glass, nothing to do with what equipment you use.

Rain guarantee my customers wouldn’t give a damn about that in the main they don’t want to see you cleaning windows when rain is running down the glass as you clean them end of,rain guarantee lol.
I cleaned mine yesterday with hot water today they are dirty again,it’s not the fact that this happens it’s the fact that the news is talking about nothing else so it could be classed as taking the wee wee.
It can be pouring with rain at 8am and then bright summer like sunshine at 9 at that point people don’t think bad of you when you turn up because you didn’t take the mickey at 8am when it was lashing it down,it’s human nature on their part and common sense on yours.
