let your customers know .  some will wait for you  to heal up .  but will only wait for so long

I’m sure close to 100% of domestic customers would happily wait 8-10 weeks if they knew the situation. The ones that wouldn’t wait are the ones that wouldn’t be worth keeping anyway.

Commercial a bit different but properly priced work you should have no trouble getting a local cleaner to cover it for a short time.

I wouldn’t worry you won’t need weeks and weeks off after a week 10 days you’ll feel no discomfort and you’ll be itching to get back to work anyway,you just have to take it easy it’s not open heart surgery you’re having it’s an internal tear   the times they give are to cover thereselves you’ll know when you can work.

i got someone to do the tops   i lagged behind and cleaned some bottoms .     about 8/10 weeks i was back on my own .   slowly   but surely.     always frightened it would rip open  as  you are stretching upwards when WFP cleaning

If you go back after a week 10 days it won’t as you say tear open if you have keyhole surgery you don’t even have stitches,if you’ve had a previous hernia you may need to have an open cut repair which would take slightly longer to heal.
I’ve just had a Miniscus repair in my knee almost a month to the day I’ve been back to work for 3 weeks with no problems,you have to listen to you’re body and just take it easy with any surgery.

cheeers for all the input guys, I have an idea of how long recovery will be because i had a hernia about 25 years ago,  im  looking at  at least 4 to 6 weeks before i can do a normal day again maybe longer, I have two hernias but both small, so i need to wait and see what doctors advice is, just always comes at wrong time but im sure it will work it self out

Oh you’re taking 4-6 weeks off I didn’t realise they were doing open heart surgery at the same time lol,I’ve had one Dazza so I know.
If you’re balls get bigger m8 it might be from a hernia not just ego 😉.
