Found out my vans leaking a bit of oil and one custy not happy it's on his block paving.. (although not 100% it's from me, though probably is) there's several products/ideas for cleaning it up when you Google it, but has anyone tried any out and got good results please?

Depends on how fresh and how much is there.....

you can go to the trouble of getting something like OT8 - very good

or you can spot treat with wd40 to thin the oil - rinse then treat with brick acid - but this needs to have common sense as to the surface type and condition

I had the same problem last year, used ubix 2000 neat, just scrubbed it in with a stiff brush and rinsed with water - took it straight out 
The oil spill was only 2 days old though!!

I doubt you can spruce  as they are chamfered on the top edges but not the bottom on most block paving

Just a thought. One of the builders spilt some paint on their customer's driveway, and that's what he did. The block paving was chamfered on both sides so the driveway looked fine.  I wonder if he chamfered the edges with an angle grinder and stone grinding disc?

after cleaning the oil stain, the rest of the drive may look dirty, with a clean patch on it

It will - but depends if its a few drops on one or two bricks of over a larger area..

Many years ago my old combo started leaking and left six 10p size drips on a drive - customer demanded that all the drive should be cleaned approx 450 square meters of the stuff - er, no chance - I cleaned the blocks that had oil and you couldn't see where it had been and as it was single blocks didn't look out of place - needless to say he cancelled after the next clean.

I've now done around 6 large oil spills where the garage has failed to do the sump bolt up properly they always pay for a complete drive clean at cost ++ 
However these are larger spills like 4 to 5 litres worth of oil
