Apart from window cleaning do you have any other businesses ?

I have a small unit in an emporium where I sell antiques, collectables and vintage items, I obtain my stock from auctions then clean them up and re-sale in my unit for a profit.

The unit costs me £252  per month but makes me between £800 - £1000 plus per month and I enjoy the buzz from buying and selling.

The good thing about this system is I don't have to be at the unit (only go there to restock ) they take the money for me and pay it into my bank, using my phone it tells me what I have sold and how much I've made on a daily  basis.

Yes I am part time and no I don't spend all day there only go in to restock

I'm on the glass five days a week ,of an evening I'm a male escort,(ladies only ) but don't get any calls so just sit at home and watch tv

I have 2 guys full time and a couple of subbies.

I normally  work Monday 9 - 4 or something like that and then Wednesdays the same. I don't go on the tools.

Tuesdays I look after my daughter while the mrs is at work and the other 2 days I take my camera out for the day or I paint. I don't make any money from it but I'm hoping to do so at some point.

yes AR it all helps but I mostly do it because I really enjoy buying and selling and always have done, Not sure it would make a good pension pot though lol

Yes due to ongoing health issues its physically impossible for me to clean windows now so i have staff taking care of the window cleaning.  I found that i had lots of free time, so i decided to start another business offering Lead Generation and Online Canvassing services for window cleaners during July 2020.  I only really started it to give me something to do part time maybe some top up income and to help out a few window cleaners.

It actually took off though and did way better than i thought and now there are months where it generates more income than the window cleaning business does.

Strange how life works.  Sometimes you just try something different or decide to switch up your job or business life and new doors/opportunities present themselves at the strangest of times.

If it wasnt for Covid-19 and the lockdowns theres a strong chance i would not of even started the advertising business.

Christmas cost me a fortune and I qualify for a £4k grant to cover my losses over Xmas of which I would have lost on one day!

Still, I am aware of others worse off than myself so will have to drink the ale I bought before it goes off and suffer in a drunken silence and hope my customers return.

Cheers for the advise Dazmond, I am in the process,  just got to hang on two/three months as building a big extension on my house so cant move back yet.
