I had the pump on 99 and the cal on 99...dialed both down and still not pumping just cycling...I disconnected my hose reel a few times and dialed the flow rate down to 50 and it kicked into life...

This pump is so QUIET!I think sometimes we just get used to an old pump being loud....its great on 40 on flow controller....

I think these pumps take a bit of priming when their brand new..so happy I've managed to sort it!

Glad to hear it is sorted.  With Both ca and flow on 99 the pump is working at is max trying to push a lot of water into the hose. The hose can act as a restriction here turning the flow rate down 9 out of 10 will mean the hose is no longer working against the pump. 

The higher the calibration the less sensitive the controller becomes to DE. The combination of teh pump working at max, The hose restriction and high cal means the pump pressure switch activates rather than the controller dead ending. Dropping flow rate and or Cal down a bit will help in this situation.

The New V16 controllers are higher rated at a max of 12a Continuous and 15 peak. In compared to  9a continuous and 10a peak on the V11. The V16 then is capable of driving a (a rated pump to its absolute max and have some spare in the tank. The V16 drive stage is more efficient. The up shot of these differences mean that flow rates can be lower than with the previous v11 with no reduction in water volume

This means the pump is drawing less current for the same performance

Struggled a bit this morning again too...I tried auto cal and it just kept coming up ERR...

Same thing the pump either DE or PS with  cycling in between....no continuous flow...finally got it to pump continuously by flow on 46 and CAL on 99(reduced down to 45 once my water was hot)....

Could the pressure switch be faulty?

Once I got it going its been great all day..it dead ends quickly after turning tap off at pole even with very hot water

Surely if you have been sucking resin through the pump and continuing to work like you did won’t the  resin have gone into your webasto or through your brush jets?
I would imagine if it’s not come through the jets then it’s likely to have melted somewhere.
Bad electrical connection will throw up weird fault codes on the controller. Pretty sure ps is one of them.

No idea mate...I cleaned out the tank and all is good again,it must of only been a little bit of resin that got through the tanks outlet and into the pump...I've not took it apart yet but I will when I get chance

No....there's no room to fit a strainer Danny and it's not practical  to be fannying around unscrewing
my cabinet checking it every week or so...

There is no resin in the tank now,I spent 3 hours on Friday flushing it out and vacuuming it...

As long as I don't make the same mistake with the resin inlet/outlets again it'll be fine....👍

No....there's no room to fit a strainer Danny and it's not practical  to be fannying around unscrewing

Sorry to tell you Daz but there is literally zero chance you managed to remove every last bead of resin from the tank. It takes only a single bead to wreck the pump, I know, I made the same mistake.

You need to install a strainer, else your pumps will continue to cease up.

Time will tell Danny....I even flushed out the tank inlet hose to the pump..I couldn't have been more thorough...

I've never had a single pump problem in 4 years since I had the heater installed so a strainer is not needed,its only when I got resin in the tank that it caused problems
