I use an Ionics ergolite pole and brush, cost 550 pound had it about 3 months.  The brush is curling up at the ends, had to glue 2 of the section holders back on and replace 2 of the clamp bolts.
I can say im not that impressed with the pole for the cost

perhaps its the brush thats scratching the sills

  Brett,

If I was a betting man I would say it is the Ionics brush, when I looked at it at
the BWCA  course it was my concern as it would scratch wooden windows, my
advice change it to a softer brush.

On upvc sills i notice when i clean the the bottom frame (and touch the sill with the brush edge)it leaves a clean mark on the sill just like a scratch. I go over the sills with the brush but it doesn't come out. Don't know if this helps

hi
Yes I have seen the ionics brush scratch the cills if you bring the brush down to the cill and draw theit sideway the stock can scratch the  cills especially PVCu if the brush is a bit old an ruffed up it will also scratch them
avoid rinseing with stock on the cill

Brett youve seen my IONICS brush IT LOOKS LIKE AN AFRO AND ITS NOT MUCH OLDER THAN YOURS,I think ionics ave not mastered  the art of brush manfacturing.
Im not impressed with ionics either and youve seen my tucker brush its still like new years later.

with the problems we both had with ionics equipment and the money weve spent
we both deserve better equipment [this is only my opinion]

I don't like to make comments about any company's equipment except to say we will never be buying a certain campanies brushes ever ever ever ever again for exactly the same reason posted above.

let them sue me,Ive won 3 out of 3 court cases were Ive defended myself only been found guilty were ive had a solictor.
Im not slagging them off but when a car is faulty without the feedback we would be driving cars with potential deaths through malfuntion, wonder if they will recall all their  brushes/as they have a resposability to provide equipment suitable for the purpose. They have been phoned to make them aware of the problem, and all you get back is they do that and it will not affect the use of the brush or results it gives.
well mr ionics will you give me permission to put a photo of my 4/5 month old brush on here?
when speaking to them at windex they were very helpful and looked a very good company and no dought theve many happy customers but theres two in NOTTM whos not impressed.

you have a right to reply mr Ionics

I have to say whoever makes the brushes for Ionics isn't doing a good job, I've seen a few like that - stick with vikan/salmon/gazs etc, last for ages and cheap
