Replaced my reel hose today,it was 3 and a half years old and I little bit too short as I'd cut around 10m off it over the years due to leaks and was fairly worn...

I thought my new red hose was the same as pure  freedom red braided hose but its not...its lighter and a tighter fit on my reel connector....thank god for hot water though as it was like wire until I had hot pumping through it and then it just went soft and plyable....

I also replaced my 5 year old pole hose and uni valve ready for my new xline pole which got delivered today at my missus house,not had chance to see it yet...

So new reel hose,pole hose and main pole!I'm ready for winter now lads!

My reel hose is called phoenix code red....it feels great when it's warm,a bit like the red thermobore that grippa and Gardiner used to sell but a hell of a lot lighter and more manageable!Time will tell as to whether it will last a few years though....

I’ll be interested to hear what you think of the pole. I just buy Gardiner’s at the moment and they last for years. Why did you change? I haven’t been impressed with Xline service in the past. Gardiner’s isn’t brilliant always in dealing with issues, but delivery and quality is spot on.

I just thought I'd try another hi mod carbon pole,I usually buy a new xtreme 25 every 18 months or so(or at least the 3 top sections)...this xline pole comes in at nearly 200 quid cheaper than  the equivalent xtreme with the black friday deal.
