An electric van would be ok for me as I only do around 3k a year....its just I'd have to fit an immersion rather than using a diesel heater to heat my water which is not ideal.....

Electric vans have a long way to go yet especially VWs I watched a short film on someone who had one for a couple of weeks he had the peogeot SWB version and it’s range was about 200 miles which is easily enough,I couldn’t get over the fact that plugging in at home for a full charge costs £10  per night or free from some charging points if you can find one anywhere.

They will eventually force electric technology onto vans by taxation and popular opinion, but I believe the biggest issue is the thousands of 40 ton lorries on our motorways every day.  I doubt there will ever be an electric solution to those vehicles.

Diesel is still be painted in a bad light even although the latest models aren't the dirties of polluters. Personally, I can see a switch to Hydrogen in the future if the world carries on as it is now. The electric drive isn't sustainable imho.

totally agree

Electric vehicles are not green, not user friendly, bad for the environment.  Made me laugh the other day as Tesla owners were unable to get into their own cars because of an app, how absurd, technology? You can keep your fancy technology and apps.

Hydrogen is the way to go, it's greener, less problematic and in time will be the future.

Yep! The only problem is storing it and distributing it for taxation purposes.

Shouldn’t be any different to petrol diesel and  LPG ,

Hydrogen fuelled cars are used in California and being tested in south east of England.

Honda and a few others are experimenting with hydrogen as an alternative. Whilst it's expensive at the moment it's looking more promising as an alternative in the bigger scheme of greener fuel for industrial and commercial use in the future.

Ford in America had hydrogen cars in the 80s the us government  paid them millions of dollars to shelve it and not use it back then , so the technology is there to get it up and running quite quickly

Hi Guys, just out of interest, and don’t want to start the usual!
What’s your temperature at brush head?
I know it fluctuates with the weather but let’s say on an average day this month.
I have an immersion, only because: a) a diesel heater wouldn’t fit in my tiny Bipper.
b) at 71 I can’t really justify leaving my son a heater in my will😂
Cheers.
.

Hi mate....how are you doing window cleaning at 71?

I know 2 old boys still at it(77 and 79 respectively)...they are both still  on ladders too!both only work mornings (2 or 3 days a week)
price higher/work harder!

Hi Daz, hope you are ok.
I’m good thanks, still working full time.
Not earning 300 a day though!
Enjoy the business side of it and always got a project or improvement on the go.
All the best mate
Chris
