Scrimble Doblo question
« on: November 12, 2021, 07:27:00 pm »
Do you get your Doblo’s from a main dealer. I’ll need one in May/June so will probably start looking now. What should I expect to pay for the LWB?

Yes main dealer, ask your local Fiat Professional dealer for a quote, I usually pay around 12-14k plus vat but depends on the spec

According to pictures comes with a free portacabin.

Are these decent vans? What kind of payload? Any known faults with them?

That ones 1.050kg. I seem to hear nothing but recommendations. Soupy has a couple and Scrimble’s got quite a few. Truth be told, swapping because the Peugeot service is horrendous at my local dealership. Have mostly Experts atm.

I used to have a Doblo Maxi, decent enough van apart from the horrendous turning circle.

Is this a decent deal at the moment - anyone? Scrimble?

I rang that dealer last week,  was told no doblos in stock unless things have changed.
They have some arriving at the end of the month they said. I’ve ordered one but they’ve changed the trim levels. Called a Trekko or something instead of Technico with some slight upgrades. Apple play for example.

When is expected delivery date?
Looked at a Toyota ProAce City before Christmas and delivery was November 2022 - but was very good price.

March. I’ll need it in June. I can cancel if not delivered before April.

So I picked up the Doblo in Chesterfield last week and drove it to straight Grimsby to have it fitted out and a night away from Mrs 8. Nice drive and huge load area. Tons of space for a full size gutter vac.  And alloys!

Yes. Cheaper than a 3 year old Expert they had.

Can you afford to run yours? You’ll have to start charging for conservatories soon. ;D
