Window cleaning and domestic cleaning as separate businesses
« on: November 06, 2021, 07:29:36 pm »
Does anyone on here run a domestic cleaning business alongside there window cleaning round, but both as separate businesses and both below the vat level?
Is this allowed in the eyes of hmrc, both cleaning businesses but different types of cleaning? The window cleaning business is a one man band, just below vat level, The domestic cleaning will be supplying work for self employed cleaners.

Deffo speak to the accountant

Do both businesses share equipment and vehicles
Do both businesses have the same ownership and management?

If not you might be ok
