how are you doing conny roofs at present.
 iam using tfr

i have one tomorrow   but iam thinking 1 to 4 softwash with sufactant  i have some ready mixed already but never done it that way  i use it for slabs and  black spot  does anyone do this  or just stick to tfr or virasol

How do you apply it?

If using a back pack I don't think the softwash mix is supposed to be good for the pump.

I just use virosl but from what others post I guess softwash would give better results.

i use back pack most times and flush good afterwards    but ise a downstream when i use the petrol washer

If the roof is just dirty a 10-1 virosol mix works fine , if it’s green with algi and white plastic is going grey then a 6-1 hypo mix applied through trolly or back pack will kill it off , just rinse fresh water through the backpack after and they will be fine .

4-1 for  render is fine  but for   glass and plastic 6-1 is strong enough evan that can turn white plastic yellow but after a good rinse and a couple of hours it will return to white 👍

thanks for the input  i found the 1 to 6  bit strong so i did  1 to 10  the roof wasnt that bad only 4 years since last clean so it was just dirty        i will leave  it  1 to 8 i f its 4 years or above.
   i will just keep 2 drums in van  premixed   1 to 4 and 1 to 10

Having used virosol for over 15 years on conservatory roofs with very good results, we now hypo them more often than not , I have found it whitens the plastics no end , kills all the algi  under all the seals and in the gutters and generally is quicker cleaning , only a weak mix is needed , we are now favouring this method with gfs cleans as well , find it will quite often remove the grey from old white plastics .

I dont do a lot of fascias and gutters, conny roofs  these days , only for my regular wc customers  , but since using a weak hypo mix it literally halves the time and scrubbing effort .
and IMO  better results .
I just make sure of safe surroundings first .
I find even a 15 to 1 ratio mix better than TFR

I hate using hypo at the best of times but if it is as good as said maybe worth it
Apply it with a wfp brush through dipping in a mix? I would have been using pump sprayer connected to wfp and fan jets to apply
Surely if washed out pretty much straight after all would be fine? Going to test on Friday on a bungalow Fsg and con roof see how good it is to tfr. Old clothes abs goggles at the ready

I’ll test it on my £10 pump sprayer and just rinse it out thoroughly after . It has handled tfr almost neat sometimes for the last year so ain’t worth spending £70 if this will do the job… if it ruins this I’ll get an ik sprayer ☝️🤣🤷‍♂️

I  use my back pack , and rinse  it thoroughly after use, had no problems so far , mind , I do have a few back packs  to hand.

I would think you do find it better than TFR it’s not a lot stronger than fairy liquid is it ?
