Need a new electric motor (modern)

Hi I've had my electric motor for the electric reel for years now.. it's a 300w scooter motor or while one I got on eBay..  but now I want one that doesn't have "resistance" 

What I mean is when you walk out with your hose it pulls back with some resistance which I'm assuming is because it's brushed.   Anyway anyone know of a more modern motor which you can walk out with and it flows more freely?
