I would be tempted to say that you only do one off cleans which are more expensive or regular cleans every 4 - 6 weeks. Sounds like you going to be messed about here.

Sometimes you have to take a chance to find the good customers.
I’ve taken on customers who have said similar things at the start and have gone on to become solid customers, but I’ve also had the reverse happen.  Some good customers at the start have quickly become problem customers, and in a short time had to be removed from my books.

I personally wouldn't bother,they most certainly will be a pain in the arse customer.
Either ignore there message or reply and say since I quoted you I have a large influx of new customers and I'm now full to capacity,would you like me to add you to my waiting list,that will get rid of them they are the type of customer that wants to call all the shots and control you,ie only call on a Tuesday and must be after 2 pm

Plenty of keyboard warrier's on here, all the "sack em",  "forget em" "blow em out before you start" etc,  What are you risking, ?? Might just be a careful Guy, wants to see if you can do a good job?
Custies dont all have to fall over and grovel  to get your services, I am sure if you price it right do a decent job there is more than an 80% chance they will turn out decent,  With those sort of odds you should be giving them a go not coming on here asking "for often" ignorent advice,  You dont have to like your customers to work for them as you are actually doing it for the money.but they have to want you to do the job, Thats a big difference. 
Go and do the job assess what you see and hear when there and make a decision going forward whan you have more information
after all you will get paid for doing the work,

Generally speaking from well over 22 years experience you get a feel for the problem customers as soon as you speak to them , Ime more than happy to try and accommodate any reasonable request but from the  off some are going to be a pita and arnt with bothering with  ,there are plenty of good customers out there why waist your time on the time wasters and ones that have  a long list of pre requisite requirements , I don’t need ones like that and neither does  anyone else .

It's entirely possible that someone else has messed up their windows and they want to try you to see if you do a decent job.

Over the years I've had a couple of dozen customers that have had bad experience with previous windy, mostly wfp and leaving streaky.

They are not always keen to commit to a regular service, but willing to give it a try - from memory all of them went on to become good regular customers...

If that’s the case ones normally say I had xxx do my windows and he did a poor job ,was unreliable etc in all the years I have been going that’s what I have found , ones saying we will give you try is a definite alarm bells for me it would be a bye bye before even taking them on as they are 99% looking for  a one off clean and will then use that as a get out  clause, and then after you have done them say I will call you when I want them doing again , we spell out our terms and conditions , we work in all weathers within reason , we work 12 months of the year , and it’s either 4 or 8 weekly , if they hesitate in the slightest on any pointbits walk away time and they can find some other mug , if we get  5 problem customers a year we have had a very bad year , it’s very rare we ever get a cancellation, or leave it this time unless it’s genuine,,like building work going on or similar then we are more than happy to give it a miss whilst that’s going on .

Lol we have experienced the total opposite, they have all been pita leave it this time looks like it will rain ,forecast  isn’t good , we are going on holiday next week so leave them and so the list goes on , we won’t touch this type of person with a barge pole 😂😂😂

Yes I think you are right , that’s why anyone with Evan the slightest issues we won’t take them on , we don’t need the work so am in a lucky position to say no .

this thread is the perfect example on why it is a "" MUST " to ALWAYS charge a first clean price, even  if a customer has up to date clean windows.
the first clean price not only covers the cleaning, but also the time you have spent talking to , and texting the new customer about your service .

sounds like a time waster to me, looking for a 1 off,
do the first clean BUT charge accordingly for a 1 off but give them a price for a regular service if they want to continue, by doing that a least you have made decent money for a 1 off rather than going cheaper on the pretense that's it's going to be a regular customer
