Yes me too but don't know why he didn't use pole for all rather than just the door, can only think he's just got it and hasn't the confidence to use on windows, strange really

iv'e got a property where the lady of the house isn't keen on wfp so when i went over to poling 14 yrs ago she agreed to let me do the upstairs  wfp but the downstairs trad. At the time my round wasn't full so was happy to do this rather than lose her  and its just stayed that way. I bet this must look odd to any other windy watching  :)

I have quite a few of those also . The frames don’t get cleaned properly though as they expect the same price. 50% extra for full trade whole house I charge

Don’t understand why ones  invest in wfp  then allow customers to dictate how the windows are cleaned , dump and replace with decent customers, why put up with it , we haven’t traded an outside window since 2005 .

That’s up to you if they were a poop customer then I would? If you’ve had them 5+ years they are a good customer. It takes me the same amount of time trading them and not doing frames pretty much than wfping them
If it’s a good price job and you’ve had it years then it’s not a case of just dumping. I understand some people are absolutely useless at trad and can’t be flexible like others  ;D

I'm surprised that twenty years after wfp started to take off in the UK that people are doing any mix and match.

It's a game of three halves!

With me, I think if it were any other customer then I'd give them an ultimatum but this particular ones been with me since I started 17yrs ago and has always been very amiable, her husband always without fail comes outside and chats while I'm working, so I let it ride.

I used to do this for a few properties for a while but over time I just couldn't be arsed walking around with a boab and changing my method just for them so i just swapped them all to wfp...its easier and quicker.

I only have one commercial job that's trad now(ground floor)as wfp is not possible

As long as the hourly rate is good enough fair enough. Ground floor only of course.

I once had a customer that had a trad cleaner and he could not do the 2 windows above her conservatory  so I ended up doing them for her, about a year later she sacked him and I ended up doing all the windows front and back as she said she preferred the end results with nice clean frames,

sadly she passed away not long ago.

I can trad as fast and well as the next guy did it for 7 years before WFP  , but I chose not to carry on with it once I changed over , to be fair I only got rid of a handful of customers as most were fine with it , but I don’t  care how well paid a job is Ime not going to be dictated to by the customer as to how I clean there windows , you wouldn’t tell a mechanic how service  your car , if they don’t like the method I use they are welcome to go else ware , and a few did no big deal , it’s not difficult to replace a small number of customers.

That’s your choice . My work is in villages where they all talk so I keep them happy as possible and keep them all I don’t want to replace them new customers come and go ones you’ve had years you should give a bit of leeway IMO trading bottoms if they’re straightforward no stepladder Etc ain’t a problem
I’ve well over half the houses in these villages and in one or two nearing all of them

I work in villages too. It's only the odd nutter that insists on traditional for the bottoms. They were dumped back in 2007.

Long gone. Do you really think they discuss window cleaning methods with each other?

And who else is going to take over the village doing mix and match because the window cleaner says 'nope, sorry'?
