Your worst building company
« on: July 17, 2006, 09:44:43 pm »

Did a new house today, what a nightmare. I used WFP and in the end
had to clean the runs using the squeegie.

This is a new house and I have had problems in the past with homes built by
A&L King. The windows are UPVC with a plastic strip down the middle, some
bright spark in the company decided to put wooden strips across ways which
are fixed with double adhesive tape.

The wooden strips don't even adhere to the whole window so the water just
runs through. Problem is the dirt accumaltes under the strips so any drips
will run dirty down the window.

She sacked the last guy as he had to many streaks and he was trad, this is not
the fault on the window cleaner but the plonker who designed the windows.

I have 1 large house with the same type of window, wooden windows with a strip in the middle, and water runs down the back of them.

Now I'm traditional, and have decided to change to wfp, the last time I did them, I was looking for away around it, I couldn't see any way at all, but to continue this paticular house with the traditional method.

Unless someone can come up with a better way, to do this type of window then Ladders it is.

Same here. Redrow's use Upvc windows with a bar stuck on the glass. As Matt says turn your water up & give em a extra couple of brushes on the bar & rince well, sorted.  ;D
