Today-change over day.
« on: July 17, 2006, 08:31:53 pm »
I hope its a case of one step back, two steps forward! Today I would have cleaned 17 houses with my blade.......with my pole I cleaned 8. From 8.30-3.00 no break, near high 20s,sweating my b******s off and I had just managed to get my round down from 7 wks to 5 wks. Having said that it was nice not having to go up a ladder and the cleaning results were excellent. I know you  have to spend time on the first clean and I did, far more on the upstairs as you can not see how its going. Today was the beginning of my round so I am looking at today as new fresh start......and I know it will get better.

Many Thanks

Paul.

It'll be OK.  It can take time to re-learn your round and co-ordinate work tasks to the maximum efficiency.  I've been on WFP sine last November and I'm still making a few adjustments here and there.

I started WFP the same time as The Shiner; and I agree with what he says.

It won't be until your second or third clean that you'll really start getting impressed with the system; and for me; it was about the six-month point before I had the confidence to 'go for it' and stop fannying about scrubbing and rinsing so much.

After my initial first month, I can't remember having a complaint since.

I have been WFP for 15 months now.
When i first changed over i thought what a piece of crap as i had runs , spots the lot.

The first week i checked all my work later in the day and if there was anything wrong i was putting it right.
By the second week i pretty much had the hang of it.

The second month i went round i kept thinking did they come out ok last month am i going to lose any customers as they didn't like it.

I lost 1 customer and most people didn't bat an eye lid.

Now i just clean and go and not worry about the results as i know they will be ok.

When i first changed over a local window cleaner told me they won't have that on domestics thats only any use on commercial.
You will end up losing all your work.

How wrong he was.
