What a mug (me) 🤦‍♂️
« on: July 15, 2021, 04:04:39 pm »
Cleaned a customer today has conservatory
With flat roof

With the material Lino stuff

Now had treated with white sealant

I thought it was dry but in middle wasn’t and left some foot 🦶 prints 😭

I have to stand there to acces loft extension windows

I did text her night before nothing mentioned
About roof

I’ve cleaned for about 4 years 🤔
I did mention from beginning would have to stand on flat Connie roof

I just text her this message

Hello Rebecca
Lee window cleaner

Unfortunately I've had a mishap
Cleaning your windows

I usually stand on your conservatory roof to clean above windows

The sealant on roof now has a few of my footprints

I have liability insurance so let me know what you want to do

I'm very sorry as I felt roof before I got on and side nearest me was solid / dry.

My apologies
Lee

I thought I’d give some of you a laugh

Any idea where I stand (no pun intended)

Plainly my fault

Felt I couldn’t pretend
As they’ll see it sooner or later 😥

I wouldn’t worry to much about it I doubt it’s damaged it ???? We all have little things happen like this now and again .

I would imagine it will go hard and dry , I doubt the customer can see it unless they have windows directly above it ???

Hopefully she'll be OK about it but looking forward, this might be the nudge you need to dump any work you have that involves flat roofs, ladders etc, I put my knee through my own flat roof and it was the spark I needed to take a good look at my work, you don't wanna be sticking your foot through a customers.

Hear what your saying

Don’t think 🤔 you have many until you sit there and work it out even 5-10% of round

Can work out to a lot 🤦‍♂️

It’s a footprint. I wouldn’t classify that as damage.

Where you suggest you’re a mug to me is because you text them about it.

Lee, i have left foot prints before on flat roofs, never had any comebacks, if i did get comebacks, i would just inform
the customer in future i would leave them windows out, i would say the rain wash's the prints away most of the time.  😇

You’d say it was damage if it was a new resin driveway lol, I’ve done the same on a roof like this on a really hot day months after it was put down.
