Weekly or monthly payroll ?
« on: June 24, 2021, 10:02:01 am »
Emailed the accountant and they want £30 per month for one person on the payroll plus they only do monthly, I wanted weekly as i assumed most cleaning companies pay staff weekly

How do you pay staff weekly or monthly?

Why would you assume weekly is preferred ?

we pay monthly - Wife does the wages, takes her about 30 mins - very straight forward

I assumed weekly pay was the normal way of paying cleaning staff after doing a job search for cleaning jobs.

Paying  monthly will be better less admin just need to decide weather to pay the accountant or try doing it through QuickBooks myself  ???

Thanks Paul

£30 is expensive

My accountant charges £5 per payslip

so £5 a month or £5 a week per employee

I would go with monthly its much easier and cheaper, if they dont like that then they dont have to take the job do they...

Its actually really easy to do yourself, i used to do it using Brightpay, although ive probably forgotten how to do it now and for the sake of a fiver its not worth it.

Its up to you how and when you pay.
We pay on the 28th of the month, and our accountant does the payroll like Stoots says, ours charges £6 per employee per month to run payroll and generate a payslip, well worth it if you ask me for peanuts!

Oooooo that is shiny!!
