Leave it....I usually change my oil every year but the garage said no need as I only do 3000 miles a year so I change it every 2 years now...
Transit Custom......every time I turn the ignition on the "OIL CHANGE REQUIRED" shows up but goes when I start up......is this a necessity or would it be ok to leave it......it was serviced in November when I bought it and has only done about 2500 miles.....the oil level is fine.

Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?

Fully synthetic or not oil should be changed at mileage or time whichever is soonest - and that's only if it's the correct rate - which most garages don't use.But Daz - it's your choice, but as you are planning t keep the van for a long time I would have thought £60 extra a year to safeguard the turbo alone would have been a worthwhile cost.Darran
Makes no difference how many miles you do a year to a degree I would change it every year at least on a new van,on a older van you want to change it every 8-10000 and fuel filter every other change.

Again it’s only £60-100 which Ime sure you can well afford it’s false economy not to do it in my books .
